You can subscribe to individual topics using the "Subscribe topic" link in the bottom bar when viewing a thread or by checking the "Notify me when a reply is posted" box when making a post yourself.
Furthermore, you can subscribe to entire Forums using the "Subscribe forum" link in the bottom bar when viewing the list of posts in a forum. Note: Some forums have subforums, such as Your Creations under Recipes. In these cases, it's not enough to subscribe to Recipes, but you'd also want to subscribe to the forums under it.
My advice? Subscribe to them all and never miss a beat.
